Math Astronomy High Sierra Camp

Glades Institute sponsors the Math Astronomy High Sierra Camp. The Director is theoretical physicist Dr. Brian Hatfield whose degree is from Caltech. His interests include string theory, elementary particle physics, gravitational theory and quantum optics. He has authored a graduate text on quantum field theory and is editor of the Feynman Lectures on Gravitation. Observational astronomy is both an intellectual pursuit and a hobby. He has conducted research at Lick Observatory as well as Mount Palomar and O'Brien Observatory.

The staff at Glades Math Astronomy Camp consists of professionals on sabbatical from their usual jobs in math, physics and electronics engineering. We are all involved in math and physics in our daily lives and would like to share our knowledge and enthusiasm for math and science with our youths.
